A craft, some chores and lots of play.

Yesturday was my last day at work so I get to enjoy a nice 9 days off spent with my family! 🎉

We started today off nice and early with some light chores for the kids, once the children had finished their breakfast they stripped their bedding and tidied their bedroom and then had a bath while I put the bedding in the wash.

The girls also had their first stroke of our kittens which they loved! (see below picture)

Once they were dry and dressed and their teeth and hair were brushed we then settled down to make playdough, at this point one of the girls friends had knocked on the door so she came in to join us make playdough aswell.

Heres my simple and easy way of making playdough

You will need:

  • 8tbsp of plain flour
  • 2tbsp salt
  • 60ml warm water
  • Food colouring
  • 1tbsp vegetable oil

It’s so easy to make and only takes about 10 minutes and it’s well worth it for the amount of time the kids will spend playing with it.

First start off by mixing the flour and the salt in a bowl and in a separate bowl mix the water, vegetable oil and food colouring together.

Next mix the coloured water into the flour mix and use a spoon to mix it, next dust some flour onto a clean surface and knead the dough into flour for a few minutes, at this stage you can add some more drops of food colouring to increase the colour of your dough.

This picture below is our outcome. 😁

The children are still playing with it now. (two hours later)

This is Hayleys proud creation of our cat and a kitten.

A little creation that costs hardly anything but keeps them busy.

Once we’ve had our lunch we will be taking a nice slow walk down to the park. 😁

What have you got planned for today?

    1. Yes it’s excellent for a rainy day I mean what child doesn’t love playdough? There’s hours of fun to be had and making it makes the experience even better for them ☺ it’s so easy! X
